Fuck you GameLoft for making this piece of shit and putting it on so many platforms.Sony has blasted a vast array of games, DLC content and demos on to the EU PlayStation Store for PlayStation Vita. TL:DR This game is a blight on the vita catalog and should be ashamed for the way it was put together, marketed, priced, and sold. You do not get experience for this, you do not venture to other worlds or play new levels. That is not the case! No! Instead The Pit of Trials is just an arena game mode that focuses on defeating waves of enemies for the soul purpose of getting items. The Pit of Trials was an add-on for the PlayStation Vita, so with that you would think holy shit new content, something amazing. ![]() Lastly I just want to explain the pit of trials. I spent an hour having my brother make online games and receiving the disconnected screen over and over. Each attempt was returned with some touch screen interaction that says "Disconnected from the room." YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY! This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't so god damn consistent in fucking you. Finally I said fuck it clearly I don't need that room, fuck that room and proceeded to select multiple other rooms available. Jesus Christ I didn't know my audacity in doing so because for the next fifteen minutes I sat there trying to connect to that room multiple times. Many times I've played multi-player just trying to get into a room for fun. Hey me too, except you'll be lucky if you can. Fine it's a terribly mediocre Diablo clone with mundane class growth, poor class balance, rudimentary stat distribution, and game play that borders on lobotomizing. You are just playing through different sections of the story! Fine. YOU ARE NOT PLAYING ANYTHING DIFFERENT IN MULTI-PLAYER. Since you liked playing through the story with each class the multi-player is just you selecting different rooms hosted by different people at different points in the story. Maybe it's not stellar, but I'm sure its online play is great. You're then supposed to use your abilities on the enemies and you would expect it to be varied with the interaction, but it quickly turns into USE ABILITY, USE ABILITY, OUT OF ENERGY, USE POTION, USE ABILITY, USE ABILITY. You have skills that clearly put you in the role of choosing one primary attack skill and buffing up passive skills that add to your character. You say it looks like a Diablo clone and you're half right. More so, you have to beat the game two more times with the other classes, JUST for 3 other trophies! That means you play through this game 4 times total, experiencing its tripe story and uninteresting game play. That would be awesome if it wasn't THE EXACT same game and the monsters just have more hit points. One trophy is beating the game on hero and legend difficulties. To platinum this game you have to beat it 6 ways from Sunday. (You'll know what I mean if you have played the game) The WORST part of this game, and I mean absolute worst part about this game is the trophies! My god. ![]() It's predictable, even in the obvious attempt for the dramatic parts they had. ![]() I know there's a Fairy Realm, the King was killed because he played with magic and got burned, and that it ends as any story like this would. So much so that I still don't know what the whole story is about, or the sub quests. The story is uninteresting and adds little to the experience. It even goes as far to say that in the loading screen "each class has a specific stat: the warriors being strength, the rogue's being dexterity, and the mage's being energy." I mean, that's great and all, but why the hell would a game designer allow for stat distribution if the whole point of you getting stats is to just dump them into some pre-obligated stat based on your class. The skills are ok, but there's nothing that makes them outstanding, and the leveling up that is in the game consists of dumping points into the abilities you have and then focusing all the stat points you get on pretty much one pre-determined stat. This game scales terribly for different classes, to the point where it feels like the mage shouldn't even bother beating the game on Legend and that the rogue is the most overpowered class. I just platinumed this game and it was horrible, absolutely horrible. I'm just going to leave this here: it's a previous response I made regarding this game. ![]()
